Students Commemorate Education Victories With Families and Supporters
SAN DIEGO (June 20, 2013) —
California College San Diego (CCSD), a leading provider of on-campus and online higher education, celebrated the achievements of 400 graduates from its San Diego, National City and San Marcos campuses at last Friday’s commencement. CCSD awarded 302 associate, 83 bachelor’s and four master’s degrees.
“Our students are committed to learning and preparing for their futures. For many of our students, it’s been a long, hard road as they’ve balanced families, jobs and other priorities while also pursuing higher education,” said Ken Webb, CCSD campus director. “But that is exactly what California College San Diego is here for, to work with these types of dedicated individuals so they can achieve their career goals.”
Last week’s graduation was the first for the San Marcos and National City campuses, both of which opened in 2011. San Marcos is a new branch, and National City is a satellite of the California College San Diego campus and offers many of the same programs that are available at its sister campus, but is closer to where many students live and work.
Commencement keynote speaker Eric Juhlin is chief executive officer of the Center for Excellence in Higher Education, the parent organization of CollegeAmerica, Stevens-Henager College, Independence University and California College San Diego.
