As part of our Good Neighbor Initiative, we are committed to providing valuable free services* that are needed and wanted in our community. In these challenging economic times, everyone needs to step up and be a good neighbor: we are by offering free courses and services to our community.
Our free services are geared to helping people become employed or to bettering the opportunities where they currently work.
Free Services and Workshops
Free services include training in the following areas of study:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Nurses Aid Courses
- Phlebotomy Classes
- Computers: Basic Training
- Microsoft® Office Fundamentals
- GED® Classes
Free Means Free
We provide everything—instruction, tutoring, books, computers and software, supplies and scrubs. We also pay the fees for the GED®, CNA and Phlebotomy exams. It is completely free.
Why are we providing free services?
We are experts in education—it is what we do. We want to use our expertise to help people in our community improve their lives. We help the community and the community appreciates our college. We work together. We win together.
We all win
The community wins, individuals in our community win, and the College wins too. Raising the educational level and lowering the unemployment rates has enormous benefits for our community. Therefore, our community wins. Individuals who are moving to the next level of education increase self-esteem, motivation and employability; therefore, individuals win. The College wants to engage in good works in our community in order to contribute to our community so people get to know us and what we do; therefore, the College wins too.
No obligation
There are no strings attached. You are not asked to do anything. Our hope is that you will use what you have learned to improve your life and that you will tell others about this incredible opportunity!
Admission to the College
Free services are not part of the College's accredited degree programs and no college credit is awarded. Participating in free services does not guarantee admission to the College's degree programs. The College only accepts students with a high school diploma or equivalent and who demonstrate the motivation and ability to succeed. Certain degree programs also require students to pass admissions tests.
* All free services are not available at all campuses.
