Respiratory therapy will be one of the fastest-growing occupations through 2014, according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook published by the U.S. government (bls.gov/oco/ocos084.htm). The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) ensures that the graduate will have access to positions with the highest salaries and greatest opportunities for career advancement in this exciting profession.

The California College San Diego BSRT program prepares you to meet clinical and management challenges in this fast-growing field. You will learn the principles needed to successfully manage a respiratory therapy department, and will have the diverse knowledge required to be at the top of your profession. You can transfer in entry-level RT coursework, or start toward your bachelor's with no previous education.

  • Incorporate therapist protocols and techniques to find, critically appraise, and use the best practice to provide high-quality and cost-effective patient care.

The program prepares students for possible certifications and credentials in: National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) eligibility.
