On our fast track, you can earn an Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy in as few as 22 months.

The Respiratory Therapy program offers a comprehensive curriculum, modern equipment, small class sizes, and individual attention from qualified instructors. The curriculum is a 22-month course of study combining classroom theory, laboratory experience, and clinical practice in respiratory patient care. Graduates have the skills for employment in hospitals and medical centers as respiratory care practitioners.

The Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy degree program prepares you to meet the challenges of this dynamic field. As part of the curriculum, you'll gain clinical experience with patients in a respiratory care facility. You will receive your clinical training at some of the best hospitals in the area, so you'll master new skills under the supervision of some of the best respiratory practitioners and physicians in the country.

Programs prepare students for possible certifications in
NBRC eligibility for RRT examination; Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.

California College San Diego's (CCSD) Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) (www.coarc.com). The program has been placed on Probationary Accreditation as of May 16, 2008.

The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy program is approved by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Students must complete the AS in Respiratory Therapy program at CCSD or must have completed an equivalent program elsewhere (that program must be CoARC approved) in order to attempt the National Board of Respiratory Care Certified Respiratory Therapy (CRT) exam. The curriculum for the CCSD AS RT program is embedded in the BS RT program.
