First-Time College Students

First-Time Degree Scholarship:

Applicant has to be the first member in his or her immediate family (parents and siblings) to seek a college degree. This has to be the applicant's first degree program.

Single-Parent Student Scholarship:

Applicant has to be the single custodial parent for a child under age 18 (proof required). The applicant's current status must be single, widowed, or divorced.

Applicants have to be female, have children under age 18, show their financial need by means of the FAFSA process, and enroll in an accounting program provided by the college.

Applicant has to be of Hispanic heritage, fluent in Spanish and English, and a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

Healthcare

Healthcare Provider Scholarship:

Applicants have to enroll in a healthcare program, show their financial need by means of the FAFSA process, and turn in a 500-word essay expressing their interest in the healthcare profession.

Applicants have to enroll in an IT program, show their financial need by means of the FAFSA process, and earn one or more vendor certifications before they graduate.

Leadership Scholarship:

Applicants have to show evidence of their leadership experience.

General requirements:

  • Only new students can receive scholarships.
  • A student can receive only one scholarship provided by the college. Students can also seek external scholarships.
  • To maintain scholarship eligibility, a recipient has to keep a 3.0 cumulative GPA and 85% attendance, at a minimum.
  • Scholarships with specific eligibility criteria are awarded only after application and eligibility determination.
