At California College San Diego, the primary role of Career Services is to assist you in launching your career in southern California or beyond. We begin early in your program, helping you prepare yourself to become a professional. Our goal is to help you start and expand your career, using the skills and training you developed at our college. We can even help you find a job to make ends meet while you’re in school.

How Career Services Can Help You

Career Services is here to help you individually to enhance your career and find employment in the field for which you trained. Your Career Services advisor will work with you one-on-one to help you make informed decisions about your career and identify employment opportunities that are right for you. As a CCSD student, this benefit is yours to enjoy at any time, even after you graduate,
at no additional cost.

Develop Job Seeking Skills

All our locations provide a Career Services office where students and graduates can receive individualized employment assistance. If you need a job while you’re still in college, we can help with that too.

Preparing for Career Success

Right from the start of your program, we’ll help you get ready for your career. You can participate in career development classes and seminars, career fairs, and mock interviews with real employers. We can help you obtain additional certifications in your field—and we can even help pay for them.1

Career Tools & Skills

When it’s time to look for jobs in your field, you can get help to create a professional résumé and a portfolio showcasing your achievements. You can learn networking and social-media strategies. We’ll assist you in finding career opportunities and job leads. We’ll show you how to ace job interviews and come across as a true professional.

Ongoing Career Support

After you graduate, you can continue getting assistance from Career Services. At any time, we can help you update your résumé and refresh your interviewing, networking, and job-search skills. As a graduate, you can even retake classes from your degree free of charge!

Resume Help

Draft, edit, and polish your résumé with the assistance of your Career Services advisor. Your advisor will help you learn what to include and what to leave out, as well as how to impress potential employers and persuade them to call you for an interview.


Interview Prep

Job interviews can be nerve-wracking. We help take the stress out of the process by preparing you for all the toughest questions. We’ll work with you individually to help boost your confidence and your skills until you get the job offer. We’ll even teach you how to negotiate for a better salary!
